Hands down the best Mexican food in the IE. No wonder this place has been around for over 70 years.
This was my first visit to Mexico Cafe. The size of the place is deceiving from the outside, the place is huge. It has a very comfortable feel. Bianca was really nice and attentive. My father was visiting from Chicago, and he requested Mexican food, and I'm glad I made the choice of Mexico Cafe.
I just wanted to share my experience because my family and I went to Sunday brunch, and the service we received was truly great—just like it always is at The Mexico Café. However, I saw a post from a gentleman claiming he had “horrible service” during Sunday brunch, and I feel it’s important to clarify what actually happened. @Paramount_kennels was not mistreated in any way. In fact, he was the one being extremely disrespectful toward both his server and the manager. The issue started when gratuity was added to his bill, which is clearly stated on the front of the menu for parties of 10 or more. Instead of understanding this standard policy, he demanded that it be removed. When the staff explained that it could not be taken off, he began cussing out the manager and then directed the same disrespect toward his server. He caused a big scene that made the environment uncomfortable for everyone dining there. What made it even worse was that he tried to turn himself into the victim afterward, even though the situation was entirely caused by his own behavior. His own family came over to our table to apologize and explained that he acts like this often, which only confirmed that the staff did nothing wrong. It was an unfortunate moment to witness, but it doesn’t reflect the actual quality of service at The Mexico Café. My family has been going there since 2001, and we will continue supporting them just like we always have. The staff works hard, treats people with respect, and didn’t deserve the way they were treated by that customer.
This was my first time visiting The Mexico Cafe. It was a quiet business evening for the restaurant. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the alcoholic beverages were superb. I will return.
I love this place. The food is great, they have one of the best salsa I have ever had, I always end up getting a burrito of some sort and it's always top notch. Servers are great and the place is always clean.Prices are very fair, especially for the quality of food. My family has been coming here since I was a kid and I will continue to come back. Highly recommended!
blown away by reviews and first time checking it out my take out was wonderful it made me feel like they want me to come back. and i love how its expressed through the tiny details. now i know why it was packed when showing up. i got their asada burrito. the flour tortilla enhanced everything the refried beans is perfect and the added cheese made my beans gooey. the asada was just amazing with crispy and tender spots and plenty of pieces. the house salsa is mild not bad. and their habanero salsa does lack some salt something to brighten it up it had body but no flavor. its unique nevertheless. superb place and so much seating.
Nice atmosphere, got the California burrito and the carne asada was probably the best I've ever had. Maybe not the most meat but the flavor was super delicious. Would recommend. The prices are on the slightly above average end but not too bad. Service was good. If you go during lunch hours you get a free soda with your meal apparently.
I can’t believe this place has a 4.3 rating. We’ve been coming for years to the brunch and their commitment to quality and service is incredible. If you want a great variety of food for an affordable price? Come to the brunch on Sundays.
This place was fantastic! So many different spaces to dine in so it suits every need whether you’re coming for lunch with a group of two or you want to have a get together. It’s a beautiful space with fantastic parking lot. Conveniently not far from the highway Staff was super friendly, and I love their designated parking spots for their employee of the month and shift leads. What a great way to encourage and support your staff. Oh, and the food. The food was phenomenal!
Enjoyed the brunch with my high school buddy & his wife. Food was delicious & a great value for the price. Rosa was our waitress, she was outstanding. Claudia (Manager) was terrific, she made sure everything was just right. One heck of a beautiful lady. Thank you MEXICO CAFE I'm sure I'll return.
